Fluorescent Lamps and Ballasts


Fluorescent lights (both compact or "CFL" and tubular) use far less energy and last much longer than regular lightbulbs. Although they contain mercury and must be recycled properly to avoid releasing it into the environment, their much more efficient performance reduces demand for power and thereby reduces power plant mercury emissions.
Safe Disposal

You can safely dispose of Fluorescent Lamps and Ballasts at these locations:
